there's at least one map reference in vineland, when DL and Frenesi
approach a what, some weird marshal who's trying very hard to be
elegant and sheepish as he comes on to them...pathetic 2 dollar game:
"Listen, would you like to go out sometime, maybe for drinks? I mean
I'm like a white wine person myself, but, you know, whatever." At
which point DL opens a map and fixes a penlight on it as she asks him
how to get the hell out of wherever they are..near the mexican border
I think.
