GRGR, 1:3 Bloat's lunch

Nothing is free as the saying goes, lunch often being cited
as the example. So if Bloat is on lunch, what's his real job?
And if this foray into the corridors of ACHTUNG is extracurricular,
for whom or what is he undertaking it? Ostensibly, The Firm,
and he's out at lunch hoping to find Slothrop and Tantivy away
from their cubicle- a working lunch. Ironic that he has copped
some left-over breakfast, I assume, for his own lunch, which he
can also use to cushion the fall of his spying technology.

He is given an hour to complete his work- no time for play.
Taskmasters whoever they are. Might they be the italicized
"we" that appear later in the  parenthetical aside about Tantivy-

	(we know he's your friend, but it's too risky
	bringing him in)

And what's their relation to Pirate's teachers in the last section
(and to the internalized voice encouraging him on):

	Just hum the nitwit little tune they taught you
	you, and try not to fuck up

No free lunch seems to be the motto of Them, but who's
picking up Their tab, and what's the price being paid for
any actionable intelligence so obtained?
