I think we'd be more happy about than he would be.
if Pynchon doesn't win it the only other American I think is worthy is
Philip Roth, a writer I do not obsess over but who I respect.
p.s. Just finished a great book called Theatre of Fish by the same guy who
wrote At the Tomb of the Inflatable Pig.
Theatre of Fish is a travelogue thru Newfoundland and Labrador--a quirky,
harsh, surreal piece of real estate. Gimlette follows the path of one of
relations who toured the area a hundred years ago.
A different kind of Zone...
