¶ STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) _ Briton Harold Pinter has won

the 2005 Nobel Prize in literature.

¶ The Swedish Academy cited his work as: "who in his

plays uncovers the precipice under everyday prattle and

forces entry into oppression's closed rooms."
