I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "natural tendency". It could have
something to do with upbringing, or other psychological factors, who
knows? But it's easier, don't you think? Just like being a fascist or a
racist is easier. I mean, you disagree with someone, right? Why bother
to explain to him in a polite way that you disagree with him and even,
if your time allows, show him how and why you disagree, when you can
just call him ignorant and stupid and end it there, with just two words?
