incidentally, pynchon blurbed moody's the black veil, offered some
weighty praise... any thoughts on that? i.e., what do you do when one
of your favorite writers blurbs another writer who, for whatever
reason, you don't like? time to adjust opinions or pretend it didn't
happen?

(and who came up with that word, blurb? what are we--friendly aliens
from the flintstones?)
