movies mentioned in Knipfel's essay, and check out the names of some of the 
characters she played:

Glad Rags to Riches (1932) .... Nell/La Belle Diaperina
Kid 'in' Africa (1932) .... Madame Cradlebait
Kid in Hollywood (1932) .... Morelegs Sweettrick

She was four years old during the filming of all three movies.
