And America loved it. This was before the Production Code (Hays  
Office) went into effect in 1934.  After that movies were a lot less  
explicit.  Even under the code  however  the censors didn't seem to  
find anything objectionable about a little tot getting what she  
wanted from oldish men by squirming cutely around on their laps.
