i don't know, slothrop has a good run for his money before he jumps the
couch

as does Roger Mexico before Jessica stabs him in the back

even Titcherine has his kicks

who wouldn't want to be the pirate queen of the baltic run that nobody
fucks with

there are lots of positive role models in GR, the nightmare exists in
those who bring all their own hangups and feverish imaginations to a 
reading of GR
