hey, thanks for the reminder!  I read Black Swan Green and Number 9 Dream and wanted to read Cloud Atlas this summer.  That and catch up with Toby in M&D 

if there was some kind of group read of it that didn't take off that's a shame; I will post on it when I read it (BFD) but if there's some interesting background or thoughts you have on Cloud Atlas or David Mitchell's work, please share them, maybe something will get going
...he seems to be a more than moderately talented writer to me (though I'm kinda peeved at the ending of N9D, as I favor the happy kind not that it wasn't happy in a way but...) and with characters that span more than one book (like Pynchon in that respect)
