AtD and 9/11

One can guess that Pynchon either began the new book after M&D was published
in 1997 or that he had some of it written over the years and got to finish
it over the last 10 yrs. In any case, I wonder if/how 9/11 and its
after-effects affected the finishing and/or writing of this, possibly, his
last book.

I do kinda expect some allusions to terrorism in AtD in the way Conrad did
in The Secret Agent and Under Western Eyes
