I've watched a lot of film in German in my attempt to progress with
the language.  From a cultural point of view - Kaspar Hauser,
Mephisto, The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum, The Marriage of Maria
Braun will all help.  From the point of view of improving your German,
I highly recomend Comedian Harmonists
