How about linking Bob Dylan with Philip K.? Has anyone heard the
quote Dylan gave about his revelation, his epiphany? He was sitting
in a room...and 'suddenly became aware of a presence that could only
have been Jesus.' [Having been raised in the Mormon church, I'm
pretty immune to the value of first person anecdotal religious
evidence] Now I learn from a bio of Dylan that he used
methamphetamines more than psychedelics or alcohol in pursuit of
inspiration. The connection to Dick is this: his last novels were
informed by a 'pink light' that gave him occasional page after page
of material of a spiritual nature that he only had to transcribe word
for word.

And Dick, of course, was famous for his meth abuse.

	Steve--coincidence? I think not.
