This is nothing like what Yeesh is studying.  And these functions have 
only a tenuous relationship to the zeta function (note the singular) 
that bears Riemann's name.  Perhaps I'm missing something.  If so, 
please correct me.

As for the Wikipedia article, it seems a little misleading.   The 
functions described in the "Applications" section are functions that 
are "somewhat like" the Riemann zeta function.  So far as I know (and, 
again, I could be wrong) the Riemann zeta function has no physical 
applications.
