Characters, shmaracters, I don't worry.  On labor in
Pynchon, I think Terrance CAN deliver, I just don't
recall that he has yet, but, again, I do hope that he
will.  Labor history has always been bubbling under in
Those Pynchonian Texts, ask, or, at any rate, squint
at (magic eye?) Charles "The Dude" Hollander, simmered
in Vineland, bubbled over in M&D, and is spattered
everywhere in AtD.  I for one am genuinely interested
in what terrnace will make of that for us, so ...
