Perhaps, I've never met the gentleman. But despite the fact that this
admitted Pynchon tyro doesn't really review the new book, he does
display quite a good knowledge of the whole Pynchon scene. I liked
the essay. Thought it was perceptive and fair. Better that most of
the actual reviews, even the favorable ones.
