Christian ideas refracted thru AtD: 1) Forgiveness (spoilers galore)

It doesn't matter. It isn't about what 'actually' happened. It's
about what symbol has become part of the mythology. The symbol
adopted in the Christianist mythological system is the cross. If it
was about something that historically happened it would indeed be a
one poster. The one-post method of crucifixion has zilch symbolic
power. The cross has tens of thousands of years of cross-cultural
symbolic power. If it was about a historical event, the whole system
would have zilch symbolic power. Dead folks don't rise from the dead.
It's all story-telling.

That's really interesting. Any printed sources?
