ATD verdict?

While it is a little bit early for such things,
AtD certainly is reimniscent of GR in many
spots and---in the scene of the CoC delivering
sure doom to a great city, as well in other
scenes---has some of the author's
best writing. I'll say it'll fit into the Author's
canon the way Godfather II fits into Coppola's
canon. And I'm sure there's an awful pun in
there, just waiting to strike like a Black Mamba.
It might be the best thing he has ever done and
most certainly has the greatest and broadest
varieties of characters and plots of anything
he has done. It's a richer text for all that.
