ATD verdict?

OK. Half-disappointed as I already said (my expectations were vewy high
though). Definitely better than Vineland and worse than GR. As to other
novels, I'm afraid I'll have to re-read it as well as M&D to make up my
mind. In terms of style M&D is impeccable, but there is more in terms of
storytelling in AtD. V. will perhaps forever remain my second favourite
after GR as no part of AtD affected me the same way as Mondaugen's Story.
And as for Lot 49, it is difficult to compare it to AtD, the length
difference is so drastic, Lot 49 might have been just one narrative strand
in this multi-plot monster.
AtD must be re-read several times, that's for sure. And my maths sucks, so
some stuff has been lost on me.
