Yeah, if you write gibberish and non sequitors, very
easy to write about indeed!

P.S. Changing subjects: Any of you frequent posters
look at a P-list digest recently? Amazing how much
HTML email crap you guys publish, and how much of the
previous posts you regurgitate over and over again by
not trimming them from your brief responses.

Every email program has an option to send plain text
instead of HTML. Please send plain text.

And, is it really too challenging to briefly summarize
the point to which you're responding, instead of
spewing the whole thread? That would require a bit of
thought, but would, perhaps, sharpen your posts
intellectually, although in some cases I realize this
won't be possible.

Hey, Toby - how about some statistics on the p-list
posters who repost the most redundant
previously-posted material, and Hey Davemarc, how
'bout some timely reminders about this aspect of list
etiquette?

But I won't hold my breath, obviously this is not a
p-list practice that concerns the List Nannies - they
almost never squawk about it, even though it's one
that I know keeps at least one really smart Pynchon
reader from participating in the discussion.
Cleaning up the email like this would also make the
Archives a more convenient and valuable resource.
