When I wrote that Pynchon is easy to write about I was only chatting. What I 
meant, for those too smart to figure it out, is that  Pynchon is one of the 
most thought-provoking writers in the world. His books have provoked and 
evoked countless articles, essays, books, paintings, performances ...and so 
on. The Pynchon-industry is huge. It  includes a professional publication 
(Pynchon Notes) where persons too smart and too busy for the disorderly 
chatting that goes on round these parts can publish their critical articles 
of everything Pynchonian. For those not too busy or too bothered by the 
silly chatting and the like, the  Pynchon-L is a wonderful List. It's easy 
enogh to figure out what to read and what to trash unread.  It's easy.
