never even saw or heard of "God Knows", but I liked parts of Closing
Time.  Got to admit, I took it back to the library unfinished, so your
thesis stands for now.  It was shaping up to be a kind of
apocalyptic-nostalgic flight of fancy and I guess it was a little
depressing for me to handle.
