Hitler wasn't one of a kind, was he?  In fact, he kind of recapped Napoleon, didn't he? (I need to research this for my article in "Paranoid Systems of History"...) ole Napoleon strode (or did They push him?) into the power vacuum and recreated hero-worship, xenophobia, nationalism, and militarism - just as all those horrible old batshit ideas overcame the Weimar Republic.

The lesson I learn from that is in planning my utopia, I will want to include, or at least coexist with, the temporally powerful, and definitely not threaten them with the guillotine...If the list will forgive a Biblical reference, certainly casting out demons is fruitless if worse demons follow...
