I think YBARA is the best place to start, although there is a lot of resonance
between The Ice Shirt and Fathers and Crows (which are both
excellent), and Mason & Dixon which might be more incentive to
Pynchonistas.

If you can put up with the refelexiveness, The Royal Family is great
too, but not a good place to start
