F*ck yeah I'm in on being a co-host; cheers -
Ah, David, while I am a Slow Reader as well, and possibly an even Slower
Learner, I think we'll be just fine...drop me a line, (er.. not Lineland!)
and we can begin to speculate on those hundred pages.
Oh yeah, here are some almost focused thoughts from earlier today when I had
sticky-patch electrodes shooting though my right shoulderblade in physical
therapy, which shot arcs of discomfort through my musculature, but hopefully
in that painfully necessary manner:
i suggest us p-list comarades make a pact agreement that whomever grasps the
first ARC swing it facedown onto a scanner and share it w/the collective;
being bretheren and a collective of like-minded individuals (in the sense
that while we have our disagreements, we educate one another about our
point-of-views, and not just throw stones through glass houses), but because
we all will glorify the publisher(s) with multiple-orgasmic payments to
cover the purchase of a first edition and at least hoist another 10 copies
for our less intellectually-chalenged friends, a u.k. first edition
(probably w/a better cover design), a plush-doll novel tie-in, a BCE (for
mom), a movie tie-in, a mass market, a trade paperback, a library bound, a
large print, a semaphore, a second edition, a foreign language (swahili?,
bjorkian?, borgesistan?), and my favorite, the board-book w/touch & feel
pages. we could go scratch & sniff, but we all know it's always closer to a
choose your own adventure.
douglas adams hepled co-write some infocom text adventure games, could you
imagine if pynchon did the same? oh, wait, that's what we're doing here :-)
my mini ra(nt)mbling,
Jeremy Rice (who failed to use speil chek on thus, alus)
-
Oh good. I can get along nicely with Jeremy, and being that late in
the sequence will be a boon to this Slow Reader.
