The next big media assault will most likely come with the unveiling of  
the cover art. A lot of thought (and, I'd wager, quite a bit of input  
from TRP) and probably some reasonably big bucks also have been spent  
on the last two (M&D and Vineland), and both those covers, though very  
different, were terrific. (In fact, the photo and cover of the Vineland  
first ed. is probably the best thing about the whole ... nah, just  
kidding.)

The wonderful and stylish Frank Miller cover for the new Penguin  
Classics Deluxe GR is different again. Pynchon requested Miller to do  
the cover, as I recall.

Wonder who'll design the new novel's cover and what it will be.
