It's not about you. Why would it be? If anyone's out to "get"
Dave Monroe it's not evident to me. Your letter
did require comment.

I don't think anyone would have minded your taking all the  credit.

I think the "listwide concern," (if any, which I doubt) was that someone
would dash off a letter to the Pynchons.

Could go either way. The answer will be interesting but
probably of not of more than momentary importance in the lives of the
Pynchons.
