I'm sure that is a secret wish of many a writer to be studied. Joyce was
pretty explicit about it I think.
Pynchon is my fav writer I admit but I don't think I'd appreciate it as much
if I didn't attempt to read alot of other stuff outside of
literature--science, economics, sociology, pornography, etc.
wisdom comes in many forms and Pynchon has a knack for pretty unique
configurations. but we sure need a veritable mix of such wisdoms
