Handling ATD

I might get a second copy for the hell of it... but frankly I simply
can't see that it will be worth anything beyond the ability to look
over at the shelf and gaze at that perfect copy.  Considering that
every Barnes and Nobel in my area had 100 - and I imagine most B&N's -
I just can't imagine that a first edition will be worth much of
anything in our lifetime.  Mine already has turkey grease and whiskey
stains on it, I might buy a second for the hell of it and just to have
a pristine copy... but I wouldn't view it as an investment by any
means at all.  Just a fanboy obsession that one day might get a smile
out of someone visiting my home.  A GR first edition might be worth
something right now - faultily so, in my estimation, if you have one
I'd wager it's a golden time to sell 'less you're planning on saving
it for a few generations - but AtD has, it seems, been published in a
much larger number than GR and will take far longer to become worth
anything save for minor fool-headed bumps.

Sixty years from now when I'm in a nursing home and still paying off
my debt while hacking up a lung, logging on and seeing a first edition
AtD going for a cool mil, I'll be cursing your names, of course.  Just
a warning.
