ATD and current events, NO SPOILERS

I doubt I'll find Tariq Ali's name in ATD, but all of
a sudden this kind of rhetoric doesn't seem so totally
foreign, now that it (or something kind of like it) is
part of daily life that includes reading Pynchon's new
novel where I see it (or something kind of like it)
restored to its proper place in the US tradition.

Agree with the poster who suggests Pynchon's texts
need to be examined quite carefully to see what the
texts might actually be affirming and what they might
actually be undercutting, after taking into account
the various authorial distancing devices and
syntactical ambiguities. 

"The road to Hell is paved with good intentions" isn't
a bad foundational text.
