Wouldn't the inscribed name of the reviewer add value
to the collectible, as proof of provenance?  If only a
limited number circulate, they're already valuable for
that reason (plus the interest in Pynchon's book, of
course), being able to positively identify them as a
members of this limited set would be an advantage to
collectors, I'd expect, but clearly there's a lot to
learn.
