Coetzee and Morrison (and Amis)

Amis schmamis. I tried to read 'Money' back in the 1980s and after
initially being sort-of-impressed with the linguistic showiness, soon
got fed up with it. Tried it again a couple of years ago and found it
much the same. And Amis's recent journalism about terror/Islam etc.
winds me up no end.

Yet again I recommend, if you want to read a good contemporary English
writer, Jonathan Coe, especially 'What A Carve Up'.

Cheers
JC
