Sorry, Joe, I gotta disagree with you there. I really like the
building. Though I know it has a lot of detractors. The plaza itself
is pretty barren, but the wide open space has served well for many a
free concert. I saw Ray Charles there for free back in 1977, I think.
That useful substance was being passed around freely and generously.
The architects for Boston City Hall (Kallman, McKinnel) are still
practicing, and still doing very fine work. Joe is probably familiar
with their addition to the Hynes Convention Center at the Prudential
Center. It's a fine building with a good sense of urban design.
