I strive for a minimum of 'belief' in my own life. Never understood
the value of it, as opposed to knowledge. So -- even though my own
instincts on the subject of God lean away from the concept of one
that takes a personal interest in human existence -- I don't expect
the world to conform to my intuition, my feelings, my beliefs.
That's the danger of belief in the Christian or Muslim sense. These
folks aren't really talking about something they believe, but
something that's real. They're perfectly willing to kiss the world's
ass good-bye for the sake of their passionate feelings.
