New Mark Danielewski book out

I haven't read House of Leaves, so I just did a quick google on it.
The gist of waht I've read on it is that it's ambitious, multi-layered
and narrated, maybe a little too long, and relies overly much on
typographical games (and the new double-sided book seems maybe of the
same sort of cuteness type-wise). That said (and maybe wrong) how
would any others of you rate HOL?

However, in the, say, 1930s for some it would have been Joyce, whose work-in-progress would have been the last great work to look forward to. It is inevitable that another really great writer will appear sooner or later. My only worry is that he or she hasn't been born yet...
