1. That doesn't mean that I don't give a damn about any advice I might get,
I did discover a couple of names solely thanks to the P-list, for instance,
my point is it's just more exciting to stumble upon a name while it's not
yet compartmentalised. I wish I had run into a Pynchon 'from a scratch', it
would have been more rewarding for me as a reader.

Well, the activity of such characters as Bush is exactly that catalyst which
might throw up a new Pynchon. Great names spring up on the background of
great tragedy, starting with Homer's Iliad and so on till the present day.
Of course, provided that the the Earth isn't completely destroyed.
