When did it all start?

I'm an old (short-term) P-lister returning to the fold for the aforementioned reasons. I have very high hopes for the upcoming novel, by the way. There is someting in the anonymous nature of on-line communication the engenders itself to pointless heated battles over absolutely nothing. I seen that sort of thing happen on another forum, where moderators shut down heated, ad hominem and or totally off topic histrionics daily. Again, we should name ourselves the "Blindside Gazette". Just as "COL 49" gave us "W.A.S.T.E." and the possibility of ". . .a secret richness and concealed density of dream; onto a network by which X number of Americans are truly communicating whilst reserving their lies, recitations of routine, arid betrayals of spiritual poverty, for the offical government delivery system; maybe even onto a real alternative to the exitlessness, to the abscence of suprise to life, that harrows the head of everybody American, and you too, sweetie.", so the same author, years la
ter, sees what incessant communication in close quarters leads to: "Unrelenting and high-decibel, it was bickering raised to the level of ceremony, bickering that soon generated its own house newsletter, the Blind-Side Gazette, bickering that could be heard even out on the freeway by the drivers of hurtling eighteen-wheelers, some of whom thought it was radio malfunction, others unquiet ghosts."
