It's all about controlling the public mythology.
Repeat after me "The media is biased to the left. The media is biased to the
left. The media is biased to the left."
Say it enough and it will be accepted as true. Any attempt to refute it will
be seen as evidence of its truth. Any honest reporting will be labelled as
part of the bias. Cheerleading will be seen as fair and balanced. Any
criticism of the regime is aid and comfort to the enemy. The enemy is the
moral equivalent of Hitler. Stopping the moral equivalent of Hitler (MEH)
is imperative to preserve freedom. To save freedom you must give up the
rights that the MEH hates and wants to destroy. Suggesting that more
gasoline should not be thrown on the fire is "cutting and running".
