His politics overwhelm his prose? I don't usually
choose novels based on politics, but on the writing,if
that's good, the politics are just part of the story,
so to speak.

Do you like these early novels?  Any particular one
stand out?  The description of Les racines du mal
*sounds* intriguing online.

Thanks for taking the time to write this.  I heard
Dantec described in somewhat Pynchonian terms
recently, and now I guess that's as much wishful
thinking as any other "Pynch-alike" comparison.
