          a kind of bi-location to their/our life..........
          co-consciousness all the way.......
 
Right: not either/or but both. Like Richard Strauss' ending to "Also Sprach Zarathrustra", the serene coda lands in two keys, two "modes" really, same notes, different effect, one sublime, the other disquieting.
