But it's also a type of "forestry" known as "cutting the best and 
leaving the rest." Some, or all, of the biggest and best treesare 
cut. Because it doesn't remove all of the trees, it's not 
clear-cutting; but many regard it as nearly as bad. Many forestry 
agencies routinely approve it.
