Well, I'm done... (Vineland)

Indeed... now I'm reading Hollander's JFK, Magic Eye and Crying of Lot49
paper which is making me really appreciate that book too...
Vineland I KINDA got while I was reading it... being knowledgeable about the
JFK period of US History and on (well, knowledgeable for a person not living
then, I guess) helped me with Vineland. I missed SO MANY references in
COL49, and Hollander's paper on it is a blinding brightness into exactly how
much history Ruggles has absorbed... which in turn makes me feel a lot
better about missing stuff... LIKE I (a 1979 birth) WOULD EVER KNOW ABOUT
THE TOWNS OF INVERNESS AND METZ... OI VEY MR. PYNCHON!!

Thoreen's paper is brilliant and, with regard to the current situation,
frightening.
