  Just read the scene in GR about the woman attending the dog show...and what she does with dogs in GR......page 454 in the Frank Miller paperback.....remember that?
   
  Been part of his repetoire going both ways for awhile...
   
  Reminds me that Betty Freidan had, in The Feminine Mystique, at least one story of bored suburban women, with no outlets for their intelligence and creativity, who did IT with a house dog..........
   
  THAT is part of what TRP may be dramatizing, no?
