I don't know if we can associate Frank with aimless wandering. His wandering is pretty directed. He's looking for Deuce and Sloat. When he does wander, it's usually somewhat against his will, at the behest of others, like Ewball or Dwayne. As soon as he can, he heads back north to find Sloat.
He'd probably like nothing better than to be able to stay put, with a stodgy job as a metallurgist or mine engineer. Reef sends him home to look after the women, rather than have him tag along to Jeshimon. Frank is responsible and domestic at heart. Kit, the theoretical mathematician, doesn't require a steady course, and is more of the aimless wanderer.
