For me the strangest aspect of the advent of these Trespassers is that
they seem ultimately to be inconsequential.  They soon just disappear
from the narrative.  Where once they seemed an earth-shaking crisis,
they are ultimately forgotten, and life goes on as if they never were.
 Or did I miss something?
