"Medicine Hat" reminds me of the discussion we had re: the Monk epitaph, in 
which someone pointed out how "Monk's hats [...] described him almost as 
well as [his unique name]."

Also, I recall in the previous section I hosted (pp. 31 - 61) that many 
characters were described and/or defined by their hats, whether it was a 
porkpie, ostrich-plume, etc.
