Or the neo-Dems and their culture of
do-whatever-it-takes-to-get-elected-except-actually-win.  I'm having a
hard time gtetting excited about the 2008 elections beyond the fact
that GWB will be out of office one way or another.  It'll be the
Democrats' election to lose, but I wouldn't put it past 'em to do so.
Then again, I wouldn't put it past 'em to fuck up anyway even if tehy
do win.  I've a sneaking suspicion that whoever our next president is,
s/he's gonna be Herbert Hoovered (a smart guy, by the way, read up on
him AND the missus sometime) by events beyond their control, and
certainly ebyond tehir ability to respond.  We might be better off
letting the Republicans take the fall again ...

Again, sorry, I am more cynical and bitter and anxious and afraid than ever ...
