German translators of AtD

[Ya Sam]

That would be the literal translation of 'Against the Day', so the meaning 
'In preparation for the day' will be lost. Is there such an expression as 
'Gegen den Tag' in German? Doesn't it sound a bit strange? I am really 
interested in the possible translations of AtD's title, as its polysemantic 
character seems to be inevitably lost in translation.
