Miles Gift ATDTDA (1) pg 23/24

This is one of Pynchon's standard tricks which I generally find
ham-fisted, and makes me groan a little.  But that it has become a
standard makes them endearing nonetheless.  This Rowling quote make me
think maybe she HAS read Pynchon.
