And, it's okay for people to say something about hearing an anecdote  
that they're not going to reveal to the World Wide Web. I enjoyed  
hearing about it, and it doesn't bother me in the least that I don't  
get to hear the details. Rudeness in the eye of the beholder, and I  
behold no rudeness. Long live Pynchon's refusal to bare his genitals  
to the public, and long live the P-list's support of him in such. I  
have plenty of personal info and anecdotes about the people I care  
about. I don't need to hear anything personal about any author or  
artist. Please cancel my subscription to "O" Magazine now.
